About Anna

Anna Johnstone is a multi disciplinary Artist based in Wellington, New Zealand. She currently works as a resident full-time Tattooist at Buttercat Tattoo Studio in the Central City. On the side Anna works on various personal art projects and also turns her original characters into designer toys with producer Wetworks in South East Asia. Previously Anna worked for 10 years as a Freelance Illustrator. She created murals, illustration, branding and character designs for various companies, games, film, comics and local businesses both locally in New Zealand and around the world. She occasionally still dips her toe into the commercial illustration world when fun projects come her way. Anna can be found mostly hanging out with her dog Tauntaun, going on bush walks and tattooing out of Buttercat Tattoo Studio in Wellington :)
